Movement
from the airport of Port Maldonado towards the port located in the
Rio Mother of God. During the way there will be effected a brief visit
of the city. After 25 minutes of trip for the Rio Mother of God comes
near to the beginning of a trail by which a trek will be carried out
from 25 to 30 minutes. Then you will come closed to a small channel
where there will be approached a canoe that will lead the visitors
during a few minutes of trip towards the Sandovals lake. The

Receipt

the small collpa where diverse mammals come to eat the mud that has
diverse properties for its diets.

Early
in the morning we will approach our canoe to sail in upstream in the
Heath with the destine to an interesting collpa of parrots and Macaws.
The trip can last between 45 minutes and an hour. Generally during
the distance it is possible to estimate birds and to one or two Capibaras's
families in the banks of the river. The capibaras is the biggest and
photogenic rodents of the world and giant relatives of the cuy. They
manage to weigh 55 kilograms approximately.

To
observe the collpa we rely on with a floating hiding place specially
designed for this purpose. In the hiding place we will offer you a
breakfast while we admire the natural spectacle that is initiated
with the arrival of the small parrots of green color emerald and electrical
blue, later the big macaws were coming those from red and green ardent
color. The birds come to the collpa to be fed on the clay.

some years all the collpas of macaws and parrots of the south of the
Peru are less active in May, June and the first days of Julio. It

native guide will lead us for a botanical etno-trek across the forest,

lunch and a brief rest, we approach a canoe to go elsewhere of the
forest where then to realize a small trek we will find the trees of
nuts of the Brazil that measure 55 meters of high place and will learn
as the native cut these nuts that fall down of the glass of the trees.
This it is an important economic activity that this Ejas they have
come realizing for dozens of anuses to obtain resources to survive.
Now the ecotourism will be a source of income to improve their standard
of living.
